LOS ANGELES May 4th 2014- Professional photographer David Jordan Williams of The United States was presented with the 7th Annual Photography Masters Cup 1st Place - Outstanding Achievement in the category of Americana at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow webcast Saturday, May 3, 2014.
The live online gala was attended by photography fans around the globe who logged on to see the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography.

I work extensively with the fine art firm Soho Myriad and through them I was commissioned to produce a large four paneled piece for the new remodel of the New York Hilton Hotel. The New York Hilton is one of the largest hotels in the country and has been going through this remodel for the last three years. I was brought in to the project early on to suggest photography for the rooms, suites and public spaces / galleries. Some of my work has found it's way into the hotel but by far this commission for the reception will get the most exposure to the general public.

This was a difficult shoot…..lots of permits because it was Los Angeles City Hall as a location.  The session was difficult in another way, the city workers wouldn’t leave us along.  The smile I got here was followed by lots of frowns and gestures.  The client loved the final results which made up for the hassle.  I believe that was the last time I booked a shooting location just because I loved the marble bench.
